Ok, so I was just barely getting used to the fact that my baby girl Tycee just turned 9yrs old last month Now my little guy is 3! I cant even believe it, it really does just seem like yesterday I brought him home from the hospital all swaddled up in receiving blankets and smelling so fresh and good and has such a sweet new spirit! Now, I have this 3 yr old MONSTER!! Ok, he's really not a monster but at times I think he is! Tripp you have blessed my life in so many ways! I love you and Im so proud to be your mama!!

Ok, so here's my latest race I did in Janurary in Phoenix. The course umm not so much it was flat as flat could be but the weather of Phoenix was awesome! I was invited by my friend Cody who lives in Phoenix to fly down and do the 1/2Marathon with him along with 3 of my other good running friends all of which I have done a few races and Relay's with last year. Jackie, Tony and I all flew down together on Friday morning and we stayed at Cody's house that night. On Saturday morning we went got breakfast that was a huge bagel and yogart with gronola in it and then we hit the runner's expo at the Phoenix Event Center in Downtown. What a fun time I had with all my friends and I wish Terry was able to go but someone had to babysit plus we couldn't afford another flight if we were going to be able to go to Mexico the month after this race! Sorry babe-next time! Anyways, I had a blast and hopefully if things go well this year then I can go back down in Janurary and do it again!

Ok, Ok, I know we are spoiled alot and we really enjoy our traveling and both Terry and I would and do work extra hard for these beach vacations that we usually take 2-3xs a year!

This year we took 4 of our good friends with us and we had such a blast and the weather was gorgous and so were the beaches!And, oh yeah the sea life there was beautiful because as you already know we are big time scuba divers. All of our friends except one girl is certified to dive so we had many days of diving and playing on the beaches in Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel. This trip however since we were always either at the beach or diving or at the clubs I didnt have my camera as much as I would have liked to but here are a few pics of our latest and greatest Mexico Trip!! Cant wait for next time Mexico I will miss you and you will me too!!

Wow, Ok really this time it really has been forever since my last post clear back in October-sad. Anyways, so far things have been good this year we have had alot going on and dont expect things to slow down anytime soon. Where to even begin..?

First-Im still working PT at Buckle 2nd-Terry is still working non stop at Burton so between the both of us we are go go go and somewhere in between we make time for the kids!

Not much of anything has been going on with us just the same ol' same ol'.

Hawaii

So, Terry and I got invited over the summer to go to Hawaii in Mid October with some of our really good and close friends, but unfortunately we weren't sure if we were going to be able to go or not..? because of our money situation right now, but just so turned out that we were able to use our Delta Skymiles and so that means we were going to redeem them and use the miles for the flight to Kona. Yay!!
Terry and I have never been to Hawaii and didnt know what to expect? We had such a good time and really got to rekindle our marriage and just have so much fun spending time with each other it was great. We enjoyed everyday in the hot hot 85 degree humid weather and it was so nice to do nothing but relax and play!! Although, Hawaii is beautiful its not somewhere where we'd go back to we'd much rather be in the Carribean or better yet the Mexican Waters but non the less it was a great time!

At the end of September we took a short 5day trip to Lake Powell with some of our really good friends. We have not been to Powell in about 2yrs so it was good to get there atleast once this year and hopefully next year we will have a boat again and be able to go more often.

Red Rock Relay

In September me and some of my running buddies all took on the challenge of running 180miles split between 9runners and got a relay team together and ran the Red Rock Relay in Southern Utah. Our team was short a few people so some of us including myself all had to take on an extra leg in the relay so total I ran 4legs and 21miles. I had so much fun running with the group of friends I run with and cant wait for our next relay which is in June for the Ragnar Relay.

Holy Hell its been a long long time since my last post-back in July.
Well, where do I began..?
I will start it off with Tycee and Paige school starting in August. Tycee is in the 3rd grade now and loves everyday of school specially riding the bus to and from school each day, Paige enjoys the 4th grade but doesnt seem to "love" school unlike Tycee.

Bryce Canyon Half Marathon

Here's another fun Half Marathon I did this summer in Bryce Canyon with my really good friend Jackie (she's also the one I did Ogden with as well) This race was dead smack in the summertime and it was HOT as Hell or the ride down there which was on the Harley but tons of fun! The race itself was early enough 6am which I can see why because about after 9am its so so hot there not to mention that Bryce Canyon was on fire during the whole race so not only did we have really high temps but it was on fire too but the smoke didn't bother us too much during the race but the downhill of the course sure kicked my butt!! I had my PR(personal Record)at this race of 1:48. 2min faster then what I did Ogden in back in May which means my speed work is paying off!! Jackie also did great coming in shortly after me! I hope to get 1 or 2 more races in this summer before I call it a year!

Every year we go on the MDA Charity Harley Ride to Wendover and it so much fun! We had a big huge group of our friends go about 35total of our friends who all have Harley's as well and every year it just gets bigger and bigger! We meet up at the Harley shop on State Street in SLC then all ride to Wendover and then theres a big concert on Saturday night and gamble and have fun times all night long and then we ride home on Sunday after we have a big group breakfast! I look forward to the ride each year it gets bigger and better!!

2009 Ogden Half Marathon

I have waited SOO long to be able to do another race since breaking my pelvis last year and not being able to run for 6months while recovering. The anticipation I had for this race since March has been crazy and I often wondered if I was "really" going to be able to run as good as I had in the past.? It has been a rough time getting through those painful days of having a broken Pelvis but I was determined and I knew that I could do it I just had to set my mind in the right place of running again and really listening to my body and taking it easy for the first while of training. I began training in March for this Ogden Half Marathon and I have felt absolutley great ever since I started training. I have also had the chance to train on Saturday's with one of my best friend Emily who is an amazing runner and she just had a baby 8wks ago on the day of the Marathon! Emily and I did the full Ogden Marathon last year and we had the BEST experience so this Ogden Marathon will always be one we will do every year its a great course and very well organized.

So here is a look at my week of the race:
The week of the race I ran 18miles through the week and ate carbs non-stop all week long so I could have those carbs in my system and ready for me to burn through the race on Saturday.
Friday the day before the race I met my good friend Jackie in Ogden who also did the race with me and not to mention she fractured her ankle 6wks prior to the race. Jackie and I picked up our stuff for the race and then headed to Fazzoli's for a carb overdose of pasta and bread, I usually dont eat alot of Pasta so I was a bit nervouse on how my stomach would handle the heavy load of noodles setting in my stomach all night/morning long, but it didnt bother me much so thats good.
After Dinner I stayed the night at Jackie's house which is about 15minutes away from where the buses where going to be to pick us up for the race in AM. I went to bed at @10pm and had a million things running through my mind like if I was going to be able to run as good as I wanted to, if I was going to be sick from all the paste I had just piled into my mouth and oh my HELL what if I sleep through my alarm clock that was set for 4am.? Well, I did get a few hours of sleep and I didnt sleep through my alarm in fact I woke up at 3:38am wide eye'd and ready to get the show on the road. I took a quick a shower and lathered myself in Body Glide which is an Anti-Chafing cream and got all geared up ready to go and by 4:30 Jackie and I were ready to go meet the bus for the ride up the Canyon. The last bus leaves 5am and the race doesnt start til 7am so for 1.5hours we were up the canyon in running shorts and long sleeve shirts standing around the fire pits waiting for the sun to come out and for the race to begin it was a cold morning and 7am couldn't come fast enough. At about 6:30ish Emily showed up and we chatted and made some goals and made a lil' game plan that we would not let each other stop or quite we had a goal of finishing the race before 2hrs I didnt care if it was 1:59:59 just had to be before the 2hr mark.
7am the race began Jackie,Emily and I all ran beside each other for about the first mile then I took off ahead of them to tackle the mile long hill in front of us and the whole time I held about a 7:45min/pace up the hill and keep thinking "I love Hills, Run with the Hills, Dont stop"and before I knew it I had blown up that hill and felt great. Mile 3 Jackie caught up to me and we ran side by side for about a mile then her ankle was hurting so she slowed down, Mile 4 Emily caught up to me and we ran and we ran quick and good! It felt good to have her by my side like we are in sync with each other we held a consistent pace of 8-8:15minute mile and that pace was just right for us not too fast not too slow PERFECT pace!! Mile 7.5 we had decided to forget about the 2hr goal we are now changing our goal to 1:50. Thats right was I really hearing myself say 1hr 50minutes I couldnt believe what I was thinking, "could I really do this?" Mile 11 Emily went ahead of me but not by much I could always see her infront of me so I knew I could not let her out of my view because that meant I was slowing way down so I always keep an eye on her. Mile 12.5 I knew I was close to being finished it was great all the people were cheering us on playing loud music! I could see the finish line and off to the right of me out of the corner of my eye I spotted Terry,Aage and Tripp all cheering me on Go TIANA Go T!! I picked up the pace for the last 1minute and gave it all I had and I crossed the finish line at 1:50:04!! I could not believe I had just put myself mentally and physically to the limits of that, that was the best feeling ever! I knew I had it in me but I think I was just scared of letting myself down incase I didnt meet my goal!! I guess just shows mind over matter which I always tell myself!! Emily crossed the line about 45seconds before me and we hugged and high five each other and were so happy to have just set a new "Personal Record" it was so great! Jackie did a amazing job as well and she came in about 10minutes after us! I just have to say this was such a amazing day/race I was with 2 of my good friends the weather was perfect the race well organized and the route was beautiful! Most of all I felt so blessed to have had this ability to run so well! Thanks again to my support team of my family and friends!! Now stay tuned during the next few months as I will have many more races during the summer!!

My 28th Birthday

My Birthday was on May 6th. As you know Terry has been working like a dog the past few months and I wasnt sure if he even knew what day it was or let alone my Birthday was coming soon because he's working 80-100hrs a week which is just insane amount of hours for one to take on but he DID he remembered my Birthday!He surprised me on my Birthday at 5am with a new digital camera and a very sweet and personal love letter and a card that was the kind that sings when you open it and the card was perfect it had playing in it "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"which is funny because our first Dave Matthews Concert we heard Dave sing that song and right there T fell in love with that song so it was the perfect song to have in my card! Later that afternoon my Mom, Sister, Tripp and me all went to my favorite place Brick Oven for lunch it was great! I got too spoiled from everyone my sister Tania gave me a framed11x14 picture of me and T from our new photo session we had the week before which is amazing, Mom gave me a gift card to my favorite running store so I get some new things for running, my sister sent me a pair of Big Star Jeans and a super cute shirt, and his parents gave me a gift card to Buckle my most favorite store ever!! What can I say I am spoiled and am so greatful for everything I have recieved! My mom also watched the kids that night so that T and I could have a night alone at dinner with no kids it was great and we hit up PF Changs it was a great time!! Thanks everyone for making my Birthday so special and thanks T for going out of your way to give me all that you do! I love you all!

Tycee's Special Day

On May 2,2009 Tycee Marie Strange was Baptized by her Grandpa Aage and Confirmed my her Grandpa Wendell.
Tycee was the only from our ward to be Baptized this day so it was very fun for me since I got to plan the whole program. I made special programs for it and it was all printed up on some very cute scrapbooking paper and had in big BOLD letters on the front " you are my sunshine" it was so cute then on the otherside of it was the program it was so cute and Tycee really liked it since it wasnt just the same ol' boring white paper they usually use. I had our good friend Mandy Sittler sing a song she wrote herself and she sang that and played the piano. Mandy is so talented it was such a beautiful song and we are so greatful for her talent and that she was able to do such a beautiful job singing for us! Thanks Mandy. Afterwards we had small luncheon(sandwhiches,fruit trays,veggie trays,chips, and of course the most raved about item some delicious cookies that Terry's sister Tami made) at our house with some of our dearest friends and family Thanks Tami for those cookies and brownies now if I can just get the recipe from you that would be great!
I just want Tycee to know that I will remember this day forever and that I am so proud of her and so is our whole family! Tycee again "you are my sunshine"

A few weeks ago Tripp and I were invited to go with some of my friends and neighbors to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. Tripp and I have never been there, infact, I haven't even taken the girls there either which is sad because we live like 5miles from the place. Tripp had so much fun he loved petting the animals and would walk right up to the BIG ones like Cows, horses and Goats and put his hand right in their mouth or on their noses he thought that was pretty cool but I was a bit nervous the last thing I wanted to have happen that day was to loose a finger or too so lucky for Tripp he left with all his fingers intact!

Where do I begin..? It just seems like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with my sweet baby girl Tycee and in reality it was 8yrs ago. Where does time go.? Really where..? Well, I can tell you where some of our time has gone in the past 8yrs. Tycee has been my best friend for the past 8yrs and we have had a rough road together. When Tycee was only 11/2 Dave and I split up and from then on it was her and me and sometimes her dad would come around even though I was young (21) I knew what I had to do and that was to support us and it was hard for the first year or two I was working FT. Poor little Tycee was raised alot by Grandma Lan(my mom) I missed out BIG time for along time and now here I am so sad that I was gone for alot of her 2nd year but I had to do what I could to survive.WORK, WORK and more WORK. Also, I dont have alot of pictures when Tycee was a newbie I didnt have my own camera and then when I finally got one it was her first Christmas and it was a video camera! Sure enough someone Im not sure who it was for sure but whoever it was know's who they are and stole it from me and it had a years worth video and pictures on it like her 1st tooth, first time walking,talking,laughing and just some fun fun pictures of my baby Tycee. What I can remember is all from memory and since I was going through a divorce at that time I dont really remember much it makes me so so sad because Tycee is alway's asking why dont I have any baby pictures or video of her? So Tycee this is for you here is a timeline of pictures that I do have of you/us!!

Cancun Trip

I'm back..From Cancun! I wish I was still in Cancun but Im not, so, I guess I will just have to look at my pictures for the next few months until I go back to Cancun! This year we had a big group with us we had:Tania, Mom, Aage, Wendell, Karen,Tripp,Terry and Myself. We all had such a great time although the weather wasn't the best and I've better years as far as the weather goes but cant complain it was still about 70 degrees but it was windy on most of the days but still beats the snow and cold weather here at home in Utah. This trip was pretty laid back we mostly just hang around the beaches and the pools except for the two days of diving which were the best 2days it was amazing and you can see those pictures of the dive on the post before this one so check them out!

Cozumel Dive Trip

So for the past 2 days now all we have done is dive, dive and dive some more its been great. Yesterday(Wednesday) we dove the Cenotes (underwater caves) which are in fresh water in Playa Del Carmen. The Cenotes were fun but I myself enjoy the Ocean Dives they are beautiful with tons of colorful Marine life down below. On the ocean dives in Cozemel we saw lots of beautiful reefs with tons of color and all sorts of stuff like Lobster,Sting Ray,Turtles and tons of cool looking fish. I love divingin the wide open ocean its so peaceful down under and its a whole new world its so interesting to see what its like there. If anyone is ever interested in diving just let me know and I can hook you up with one of the best Dive Masters in Cozemul he's a great diver and we have dove with him now for the past few years and never go elsewhere so let me know he will take very good care of you!!

Turbo Jam

I have just ordered the "New Turbo Jam Elite" and got them in the mail today I am so excited to start doing these again! In the past when I was not running I would do Turbo Jam almost everyday and I loved working to Chalene she's so much fun and I always feel great after doing it! So, I wanted to take some pictures of my body before or how it is today and then Im going to take some "after" pictures in about 6wks to see if I have seen any results to working out to the "new" Turbo Jam Elite that I will be doing 5days a week but making modifacations as I go along not putting too much pressure on my body! I cant wait and am looking to have some good results in the next 6wks!! Also, if you have not ever tried Turbo Jam I think you should!! I am not much for dieting but love working out so Im way excited to get a nice toned flat stomach which I struggle with!!

So many of you have asked how my "health" issues are going and so I thought I would do a post about it so you can catch up date on it with everyone else.

As alot of you know I have a broken/fracture pelvis. If your wondering how I managed to do that Im still wondering myself. However, the several Dr's I have seen since July think it may have been from "Overtraining" in other words too much RUNNING. I actually didn't think I was running too much in the summer I thought I was doing pretty dang awesome! Then Wa-Baam. I came to a screetching holt while doing the 4th of July 10K.

After not running for the entire summer I had to get ready fast for the San Fransisco Marathon and I trained for 3wks for it and I did it, and it was very painful but I finished so who cares..?NOT ME. When we got home from San Fran I went immediatly to the Dr's and sure enough there was a break in the Pelvis. Still to this day cant figure out when it actually happened sometime between July and October. Actually the Dr thinks I had a stress fracture in July but we did not spot it on the X-Ray because it was so small then when I trained for the 3wks I just made it worse not knowing it was broken in the first place. Again I am pretty much on bed-rest for awhile.

Now here it is Janruary and still not improving. I have been to the Dr's 4x's for X-rays and no improvement but I have to tell you something it may be my own fault heres why..? Back in November I did my follow up and sure enough no improvement on the X-ray but the Dr wanted to get me into a specialist that week but before doing so he wanted to get another Dr's opionion and that Dr said "oh no shes fine she can start to workout slowly taking it easy then increasing it over the next few months"well I did take it easy and still painful but I just pushed myself through it because I did it before and lived through the pain so I just thought it was going to last forever or until its all the way healed. I was wrong the Dr was wrong the one who said I could work out he was way wrong. I went back in Janruary for the follow up visit and this time my Dr insisted I must see a Orthopedic Surgeon right away because even though I have been excersing my Pelvis should look a bit better but its not at all so it really concerns him. In November I did ask him what else it could be from preventing my Pelvis not to heal and he wasn't sure but he did mention to me that it could be something more serious like a Tumor or Bone Cancer thats not lettting my bones heal the way the should be by this time. Tumors and Cancer scare the hell out of me so here I am today just trying to deal with what he has told me.

Yesterday(Friday) I saw a Orthopedic Specialist and he ordered me to do a CT Scan and MRI's to see what excately is going on in there and if its more serious than I had expected it to be.? The Dr I saw on Friday was not my favorite Dr so I called my aunt Jo who knows Utah's #1 Trauma Orthopedic Specialist and got me in to see him so I will be following up with him.

For now I just will have to do those test on Monday and get the results from the Dr on the 27th. I am scared I dont want to die or be sick or be disabled FOREVER I love my life too much to have this happen to me.

As far as running or excersizing its done with for along time but I really dont care if I just knew I was going to get better and not be sick with some rare bone cancer or something scary like that. I dont care whatever it takes I will do. I will get better!!

Well as you can remember from my post in October after doing the San Fransisco Marathon I said I had a broken Pelvis. Well, its been since then since my last run and I have gotten the ok from my Dr to begin running again. I just started 2 weeks ago and have been running4miles/5days a week a total of 20miles a week. At first I thought I would take it easy and do 1-2miles at a time and I did for the first day then I couldn't stand it so I had to increase the mileage and I felt great. I have pain a dull pain but I dont hurt the next day so I figure why not run if I feel good enough to.?Also, I have been running in the extreme cold weather conditions its not as cold as you would think it would be but you do have to have the right running gear. On the way home from Daniels we dropped off Tycee at Dave's and Paige with Candy for the night and they come home Christmas afternoon. Daniels Summit Lodge

In my family every year we go to Daniels Summit for Christmas snowmobiling trip. The kids love it and so do we its such a good fun time and we all have fun hanging out together. This year we all headed up on Monday morning and stayed until Wednesday night. This year was very special because my sister Troye and Arian were here from Oklahoma and they were able to come this year with us for the very first time!!
When we got to Daniels Summit everyone was starving ready to eat a good dinner.

After dinner on Monday night Aage my step dad dressed up like Santa as he does every year for the grandkids.

Every Tuesday Terry and I have family night and every week we do something different so last week we decided to take the kids to Temple Square. The kids had a fun time but it was very very cold so we only stayed about a hour or so.

I pulled off a Thanksgiving Feast

Terry and I decided to have Thanksgiving this year at our house with just a small crowd the kids and my Mom,Step Dad and Sister. I did everything except for the Turkey and Stuffing. This is how it all went for me for the last 2 days. First things first I started my 13 layer rainbow jello on Wednesday morning while getting Tycee ready for Dave's,Tripp crying at my feet and the wash piling up to the ceiling in the laundry room. The jello took me yes pretty much up until about a few hours before eating, its a long process not hard just very time consuming. While the jello is setting in the fridge, I needed to make a NY Style Cheesecake for Terry since he doesnt really like pie all that much.

So here it goes I found a recipe for the cheesecake and ran around town tracking down a Springform pan for the cake to set in, lucky for me my neighbor had one. The Cheesecake wasn't too difficult again just time consuming but I did it and I made it all from scratch. After making the Cheesecake I started all the crust for the pies. I also made the crust and pie from scratch as well. I was up until 3AM baking Pumpkin, Apple, and Banana Cream pies.

Finally when I was about to settle down and go to bed Terry jokelingly said,"what if the mice get to the pies" I panicked a bit but was so tired I didnt really care. By the way we dont really have mice Terry just likes to say stupid things like that to get me all worked up however, I did check on them a few times during the night just to make sure.

On Thursday morning I made rolls, yams, green bean salad and a few other a little things and did the final touches to all my pies and yummy food. By 2o'clock everything was set and ready for us to eat finally!!

I must say so myself I was pretty impressed with all the baking and cooking I have just done and you might be asking yourself now,"what the heck I didn't know Tiana can cook" well...Its true very true I can cook and I can actually cook pretty well too so I was excited to show off my cooking/baking skills. Everyone was impressed and I got lots of compliments about how yummy the food was.

Terry and I had tickets to go see the BIG GAME Saturday night. We had amazing tickets and we had so much fun on our little date with no kids it was such fun!! After going to the game of course we had to hit the EL CHIHUAHUA Resturant for some fabulous Mexican food!

Emotional and Inspiring

This is how it all started and ever since then I haven't been able to get this family out of my thoughts. I think about this family quite often. A few weeks ago T's alarm clock went off and Terry doesnt have his alarm set on the annoying beep, beep thing he has it set to some news station that is almost just as annoying to me but this time when it went off at 5AM I couldn't help but listen to the news that morning. All that I can remember is that were talking about some Nie Nie Blog and some plan crash that had happened in August, I couldn't figure out what the blog had to do with the plane crashing. I got right up and went to the computer and here's the news article and then I read her sister Courtney's blog. I read this blog and the watched the news clip and it was very emotional for me but very inspiring on the sisterly bond and what a amazing family. I want my sisters to know that if anything ever happened to them that I would not only take care of them, but, if they had a family I would take care of the family too and that everything will be ok. I hope you all take the time and read this amazing story but be ready get the box of tissue's out because this is a tear jerker.

Our first day going to Church

So, Terry and I have been talking about going to church for quite some time now and there was always some excuse for us not to go but we finally went for the first time on Sunday. We have lots of friends here in our neighborhood that have always invited us to go with them but like I said we always had some lame excuse or I always had the excuse it usually went something like this: I have nothing to wear, its too early, or, I dont know anything about the church and what they believe in. Finally I made the decision I was going to go give it a honest effort but first I had to make a quick run to Nordstroms for the "church apporiate clothing" After 4hrs of trying on clothes I walked out of Nordie's with 6 new outfits and 2 pairs of Naughty Monkey heels!! Of course shopping was really what I was looking forward to and now that I have done that then I guess I have no more excuses not to go because Church started at 1pm so that was a good time for us and after the shopping spree I had to go at this point plus I wanted to wear my new clothes!! I do feel this is a good thing so hopefully we will continue to go and I will learn more.

Ok, so Im kind of late on posting pictures from Halloween but I have been without a camera so I have had to steal a copy of my dads pictures from his camera of our Halloween. This was a fun year for Tripp he was so cautious and curious is to why he looked the way he did. "Hannah Montana"Tycee and "The Gothic Witch" Paige were at the "other parents" for the weekend so I dont have pictures of the girls this year but next year for sure.

NIKE WOMEN'S MARATHON

As you all know this last year I have taken a new approach to running and since then I have completed several Marathons,Half Marathons and a few 10k's and 5k's. I have had a amazing experience with each of them and have lots of memories of each race. This last July I got injured doing the Provo Freedom Festival 10k, I went to the Dr. and did several test with X-rays and such and never found what the problem was/is. Well, in the meantime I took about 3months off completely from running and I was still limping around the house with pain but just ignored the pain. NOTHING was getting better I don't know what I've done to myself but there's something wrong but WHAT..?Well, then of course I remembered that in January I put in for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Fransisco and got in. So, I thought since my whole family is planning to fly out with me I better start to train for this I didn't want to be a quitter either and didn't want to let them down by not doing this since this is all I have talked about since January. By this time its the beginning of October and I only have until Oct. 19 to get all this training in so I did I trained everyday for the next 3weeks and yeah there was pain but nothing was going to stop me from getting that Tiffany's necklace so I was popping Advil every 4hrs to keep the pain under control it was fine because all I could think about was the Tiffany's necklace I was about to get at the Finish line so that kept me moving.

Finally, its Friday Oct 17th and I'm about to board the plane to San Fransisco with my whole family coming to support me by this time I have butterflies wondering if I can really do this or not..? Well, clear back in January I had planned to do the full 26.2 Marathon but as time went on and my injury didn't get better I was always wondering if I would be able to really do this or not..? or if I was just setting myself up for failure well it turns out I FINISHED! I DID IT, I FINISHED the Half Marathon which is 13.1 miles with a timing of 2:10 with tears of joy running down my face. I was greeted with several of San Fransisco's hottest firemen all wearing blue and black tuxedo's holding what I had worked so hard for a small box with a Tiffany's Finisher necklace in it, its beautiful and means so much to me! This was an amazing experience the best race ever! I was with 20,000 other women and 1,000 men all to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which has raised over $18 million since this race started back in 2000 it was amazing the whole town of San Fransisco was booming it was awesome.

Last but not least that pain got worse so when I came home on Tuesday the next day I went straight into the Dr's and did another X-ray and yeah sure enough there's a problem a big problem but what..? The Dr. asked me if I'd ever broken my pelvis my instant reply was," No Never why..?" He continued to point out the X-ray to me and sure enough there's a break in my pelvis. What the hell I just ran a half marathon with a broken pelvis. I cant even believe it no wonder why I was in so much pain and never getting better. Well, as you can imagine I wont be running for a long time I have to go to the Orthopedic Surgeon in 4wks and if at that time its not healing I will undergo surgery. Crazy huh? Well all I can say it was sure with the pain and I'm sure my pain is nothing compared to all the millions who battle Leukemia each year. I loved every minute of that race and as long as I'm running I will plan to put in for that race every year. I have tonz of pictures to post but my camera is still with my dad in San Fransisco so keep your eyes here for more pictures to come. Also, I just want to Thank my whole family for being such a good support to me and helping me out with the training since it requires alot of hours of running each day/week.Thanks family your the best!!

The Paint Projects

So as some of you know two weeks ago I wanted to take on a new project. I wanted to "warm-up" our house by doing a little paint job. I thought I would be able to have it be cheap,fast and easy. Oh no can I just tell you it was neither of those it was a long hard expensive project but well worth the late nights and many run's across town to Lowe's.
First I started with the small wall in the 1/2 bathroom downstairs. I wanted to match the color of a vase that I have sitting on my coffee side table in the living room so that it would all flow nicely. The color of the vase is this green same as the green that you see here on my wall.After painting the wall I had to of course get a new rug and towels to match. I really like the green. Although Terry calls it "shit green"

After doing the bathroom early the next morning I started painting the kitchen wall and at that time I was going for a pretty tan color. Well there are no pretty tan color's I quickly realized but that wasn't until after I painted the whole wall a mud tan it was ugly and had a peach tint to it so, I painted over it 3 more times until finally I found a chocolate brown that was beautiful. I don't have pictures of the kitchen because of the lighting is too bad right now.But I will have them soon enough.
After painting the kitchen 4x's I wanted to paint the upstairs where there used to be T's work desk.We built on a loft so now we didn't have the desk here anymore so it was a huge empty space. I thought that it would look nice to paint it the same chocolate brown as the kitchen. After painting it I realized it looks good, but not good enough I had to put something there but what?Well, as you can see I got a new chair & ottoman and wall hanging to go above the chair. Now its complete.

Oh man I just cant quit now I must do my room and then that will be it. or will it..?I wanted to go for some warm fall tones but didn't want the same popular brown that was everywhere else in my house at this point. So I choose a mustard yellow color. Its a Venetian wall texture and it took a lot of time for this one wall but its absolutely gorgeous.My bedroom went from feeling blah to a warm relaxing area. At this point also I have gone way above my budget so I only was able to get new gold sheets and all new throw pillows. As you can see I have a red pillow stitched with black that ties the new chair in with the bedroom.

Like I said was I really done or not..? NOT!! Last but not least I wanted the master bathroom to flow the my bedroom so I used the last bit of paint left and did the small back wall in the bathroom.Now my paint jobs are complete for now.
